Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda and to register for Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 elections, in a June 12 Democracy Day message he personally signed.
Dafinone describes June 12 as a symbol of sacrifice and the people’s resolve, and praised Nigeria’s democratic journey since 1999 saying that democracy remain the best system for ensuring accountability and peaceful political change. He acknowledged the country’s current economic and social challenges but expressed confidence that Tinubu’s reforms will reposition Nigeria for long‑term growth and stability.
He appealed for patience as some policies take effect, noting that the benefits are beginning to materialize. He urged citizens especially those in Delta Central to take an active role in the democratic process by registering during the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration exercise and collecting their PVCs.
“The future of our nation depends on the choices we make, and every vote remains a powerful instrument for shaping good governance,” he said, thanking constituents for their trust and support.
Looking ahead to 2027, the senator called on Delta Central residents to stay politically engaged and support the All Progressives Congress (APC), arguing the district must remain central to national politics and development.
