Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated eminent legal luminary High Chief T. J. Onomigbo-Okpoko, OON, SAN, on his 95th birthday, describing him as a revered elder statesman whose life embodies honour, integrity and service.In a message issued on behalf of himself, the Dafinone family and the people of Delta Central, the senator praised the celebrant’s enduring contributions to the legal profession, the administration of justice and the preservation of traditional values.
Dafinone described Onomigbo-Okpoko, the distinguished Senior Okakuro of Okpe Kingdom, as an exceptional legal icon and former Chairman of the Body of Benchers whose legacy remains worthy of celebration.
He said the nonagenarian’s decades of professional and public service have left an enduring mark on Nigeria’s justice system and the Okpe traditional institution. The lawmaker prayed that Almighty God would grant High Chief Onomigbo-Okpoko many more years in sound health, peace and fulfilment, and renew his strength “like that of the eagle.”
“Happy 95th birthday, our revered patriarch!” Dafinone declared in the tribute.
The birthday celebration has also drawn tributes from other prominent figures in the legal community, who described the Senior Advocate of Nigeria as a statesman and father of the Bar.
