Two kidnapped Victims Rescued By Police In Delta, Recovers Guns,Ammunition, Phones, Others

According to him, the DPO, on receipt of the information, swiftly mobilized and led a team of police operatives, trailed and intercepted the kidnappers at the ECN junction along Agbarho/Ughelli road, and engaged them in a gun battle that forced them to abandon the car and the kidnapped victims, before escaping into the bush with various degree of bullet injuries. 
The victims were rescued unhurt and have been reunited with their families.

The Imam and other worshippers were observing their early morning prayer at a Mosque at Otovwievwiere when the gunmen, five in numbers came in an unidentified Toyota Sienna at about 6:am and started shooting sporadically before abducting their victim.

The two suspects, Oti Shevire ‘m’ aged 32years and Amos (surname unknown), upon interrogation, confessed to the crime and led the policemen to their hideout, where the victim was rescued, and is currently receiving treatment. Suspects are in custody and investigation is ongoing.”
