Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has congratulated His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, on the fifth anniversary of his coronation, praising the monarch’s role in fostering peace, unity and development across Warri Kingdom.
In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, the governor described Atuwatse III as a “peace-loving and visionary” traditional ruler whose leadership has strengthened harmony and cooperation among the kingdom’s people and neighboring communities.
“Over the past five years, His Majesty has demonstrated exemplary leadership and played a significant role in promoting the socio-economic revival of Warri Kingdom,” Oborevwori said. He commended the Olu’s efforts to preserve Itsekiri culture and traditions while encouraging peaceful coexistence with other ethnic groups—efforts the governor said have contributed significantly to stability and development in Delta State.
The governor also called the Olu “a man of peace, a bridge-builder and a person of profound integrity,” noting that the monarch’s stewardship has inspired confidence and brought positive change to his subjects.
Oborevwori urged residents of Warri Kingdom to back the Olu’s vision for a more united and prosperous Iwere nation, and prayed for God’s continued blessing on the monarch’s health, wisdom and strength to lead purposefully.
On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, the governor extended warm felicitations to Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, on the milestone anniversary.
