The Federal Government has imposed a seven-year moratorium on the establishment of new Federal Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education, citing the proliferation of underutilised institutions, overstretched resources, and a drop in academic quality. Three years after, the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Monday, ordered the remand of five suspected terrorists who attacked St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo in Ondo State on June 5, 2022, in Department of State Services (DSS) facility.
