She took time to explain how fathers were revered in those days as real men and true heads of the family. She stated that even when a man married more than one wife, he still allowed each a reasonable percentage of independence in terms of making their own decisions, had what they wanted and could do what they needed to do to support themselves and their direct children.

On his part, eldest child of the Late Barr. Mary Iyasere, Tega Iyasere thanked all who have come to remembered their late mother and promised to immortalised her by upholding to her legacies. He said, ” While alive, her goal was to help the less privileged amongst us. That was the only thing that gave her joy and put smile on her face, so we have decided to immortalized her by setting a foundation were youths will be trained on different skills and empowered”.

They said as a group committed to the peace and development in the Niger Delta, “We seldomly  comment on such issues which we consider strictly personal business concerns of individuals, but the sustained media campaign and the barrage of attacks against High Chief  Government Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) has made it necessary for us with these positions”, the open letter reads. 

He said, “Gbagi has continued to dish out lies upon lies. You know that he contested on the platform of the PDP and because of his very unpopular stand he could not secure up to two votes in the primary of that election, and what he did, because he still wants his name to appear on the ballot, was to go into a party that is not known in Delta.
