Responds To Alarming children Theft In Agbarho

Egbo gave this assurance at the Palace of the Agbarho monarch (Osiuvie of Agbarho Kingdom) on Saturday, June 7, 2025, while responding to the alarming increase of cases of children theft in Agbarho community. The local government chairman expressed deep worries and concern over the safety and well-being of the children, stating that it is worrisome but vowed to work tirelessly to put an end to the new trend of crime. He assured the community that he would collaborate with relevant security agencies and stakeholders to tackle the issue head-on.
While stressing on the importance of security Egbo, urged residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
“The state Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, saw a trending video of Agbarho community women protesting the incessant theft of children and claims that over 26 children has been stolen within the spate of months. So he mandated me to come for a fact finding mission, and now that I have seen for myself and I report to back to the governor.
“We will do everything possible to ensure the culprits are brought to book, and safety and peace return to the community.
“I have four children, and even if my dog is stolen, it make me feel bad, and here we are talking about a mother whose child is stolen, it is not acceptable.”
Hearing the pathetic stories from the four parents, one deaf and dumb, Egbo called on parents to take extra precautions and ensure the safety of their children at all times and reiterated his commitment to making Agbarho a safe and secure place for all its residents, especially the vulnerable members of society.
He urged everyone in the community not to withheld information concerning this new trend of stealing children, vowing that criminal elements will be brought to book. He called on them to bound together and support each other in the fight against crime, reassuring that with their collective efforts and cooperation, they would be able to overcome the challenge and create a safer environment for everyone.
