The Delta State Police Command, led by Commissioner CP Aina Adesola, has launched an aggressive raids dismantling a notorious drug cartel and nabbing an armed cult suspect, seizing illicit substances and a fabricated gun in a bold push against crime.
In a sting operation on March 17, DOPS Buffalo patrol team joined Achalla Ibusa Vigilantes to storm the Power Line hideout in Asaba of a drug baron “Madam Do Good.”
Officers recovered chunks of Ice, Colorado, Canadian Loud, suspected Indian Hemp, and tramadol. Four suspects—Faith Uyaterimo, Peter Nnamani, Paul Nnamani, Abuchi Miracle—and three others fell into custody; investigations continue.

SP Bright Edafe, Police Spokesperson disclosed that two days after, on March 19 around noon, Ekpan Division operatives acted on a tip-off about a suspicious 18-year-old Ovie Ejeh, of No. 12 Agbasa Community, Warri. They swooped on Ugbangwe College in Warri, arresting the teen cultist and recovering a locally fabricated cut-to-size single-barrelled gun loaded with two live cartridges.
Ejeh confessed his cult ties during questioning.
CP Adesola, addressing officers recently, mandated divisional police officers (DPOs) and tactical leads to adopt proactive strategies. “Drug dealers will be fished out from their hideouts and face the full wrath of the law,” he warned, signaling modern policing’s frontline role in crime-fighting.
