Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central has extended warm felicitations to Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the government and people of Delta State, and the Urhobo community on the state’s 35th creation anniversary, calling the milestone a time for gratitude and renewed commitment to peace, unity and sustainable development.
In a statement marking the anniversary, the Delta Central senator described the occasion as an opportunity for Deltans to reaffirm their shared purpose and to place collective interest above ethnic and political differences. “Delta State is one big heart and one big family,” Dafinone said, urging citizens to embrace one another in love, mutual respect and understanding.
Dafinone commended Governor Oborevwori’s leadership and encouraged continued cooperation across the state’s diverse communities. He emphasised that Delta’s diversity should be a source of strength rather than division and called for healthy competition in ideas, enterprise and development that benefits all residents.
“As we celebrate this anniversary, I urge all Deltans to continue to embrace one another irrespective of ethnic, cultural or political differences,” he said, adding that unity and shared commitment to progress will secure a better future for present and coming generations.
Dafinone wished Delta State further growth, prosperity and enduring unity as it celebrates 35 years since creation.
