Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress APC, in Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu Federal Constituency also known as the U3, led by Olorogun John Oguma, has publicly endorsed the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone and Rt. Hon. Ejiroghene Francis Waive for a second and third come 2027.

Speaking at an enlarged unity meeting convened at the residence of the Olorogun John Oguma, in Ovwor Olomu, Ughelli South Local Government Area on Saturday, May 24, 2025, Chairman of the U3, John Oguma also known as the Udu of Olomu Kingdom, noted that having performed excellently well, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone and Rt. Hon. Ejiroghene Francis Waive deserves to be voted for their second and third tenure.
“You do not change a wining team. The President, Governor Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone and Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, has given Nigerians, Deltans and their constituents a very good representation, without mincing words, they deserved our applause.”
While acknowledging the performances of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Oguma urged Urhobo people to stand firmly to deliver them in their second tenure, disclosing that until now, he never knew that such magnitude of empowerment could come to the grassroot, but the government of President Tinubu has shown that it is possible.
He noted that recently, about 400 empowerments were given to each Wards which he see no one taught could be possible but the President made it happen. He on behalf of the U3 group pledged their supports and loyalty to Mr. President and the APC and urged all support Governor Sheriff Oborevwori who have performed excellently well.
Responding, Senator Ede Dafinone, expressed his gratitude to the group especially for the unity meeting convened to declare the oneness of Delta politicians. He described Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as a man with great foresight and wisdom.
“I must commend Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori for seeing an opportunity if aligning the state at the federal level with his people at the state level. It is a master stroke as he has removed in one fell swoop the opposition in Delta political field.
“Its a great day for Delta state and with the Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency declaring itself as a unified political force.”
Dafinone recalled how PDP from 1999 has boasted of Delta being their stronghold just untill April 2025. He acknowledged him being formally of the PDP and belonging to the Obielum group and the EK Clark faction, before joining the defunct DPP and later the APC. He appealed to Deltans to lend their supports on APC, President Bola Tinubu, Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori and urged the people of Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu Federal Constituency to support the reelection bid of Rt. Hon. Francis Waive and his humble self come 2027. He maintained that the benefits of the alignment of the state to the federal have started yielding positive results, and noted that this is so important in the development of Delta state.
On his part, Rt. Hon. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, said he is overwhelmed by his endorsement by the leaders and stakeholders of the APC in Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency for a Third tenure. He said it is a good thing when your own people recognizes your hard work, productivity and when you have work for your own people in the floor of the house and in providing infrastructures, legislation that benefits the people. He said the vote of confidence passed in him and endorsement for a third term, has again guaranteed a more robust representation. Waive also thanked President Tinubu for assenting the to the bill establishing the Federal Medical Centre, Ovwian, Dela state, and thanked Governor Oborevwori for pulling everybody together, affirming that such leadership has never been seen before in Delta state.
Others who spoke at the meeting and endorsing Senator Dafinone include Chief Morris Olori, Surveyor Terry Noah, Hon. Eddy Sorhue, Sir, Richard Odibo amongst others.
