According to Orubebe who led the team, a total sum of N50 million have been released by Tinubu to be disbursed to flood victims across the state, and would be shared accordingly.
He also announced a donation of N150 million worth of relief materials to the victims by the Deputy President of the Senate and APC gubernatorial candidate in the state, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.

Addressing newsmen at Mariere Primary school, Evwreni the senatorial hopeful said, that his visit was to get first-hand information on the plight of his people and to bring material to support the collective efforts to bring succour to the victims.
Rt. Hon. Oborevwori who sympathised with the victims, assured of government support in cautioning their effects, stating that though it is a natural disaster, but government will not fold its hands and allow the citizens to suffer hardship.
