The people of Ethiope East Local Government Area in Delta state, are currently breathing hope as the free medical outreach of their lawmaker, Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu birthed at Eku.
The free medical outreach is said to borne out of her bid to bring affordable healthcare nearer to her Constituents.
Rt. Hon. (Mrs.) Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, Member, representing Ethiope Federal Constituency commenced the free medical outreach programme with the people of Ethiope East Local Government Area.
According to a statement made available to journalists, she disclosed that the programme is aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the people of Ethiope East Local Government.
Rt. Hon. Ibori-Suenu said, “in collaboration with Delta State Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), we are bringing healthcare to the doorsteps of my people of Ethiope Federal Constituency.”
Rt. Hon. Ibori-Suenu, Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) further disclosed that the outreach which was held in Government Hospital, Abraka and Eku Baptist Government Hospital on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 was a success and subsequently followed by the one held at General Hospital, Isiokolo on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
According to her, “Services to be rendered includes; “Minor Surgeries (herniorhaphy, appendectomy, etc., General medical check-ups and treatments, Dental care scaling and polishing, tooth extraction, etc.”
Rt. Hon. Ibori-Suenu said, that people to benefit from the programme are residents of Ethiope East Local Government, individuals seeking medical attention and those who cannot afford healthcare services, adding, “the objective of this programme is to provide accessible and free healthcare services to the people of Ethiope East, thereby improving their overall well-being and quality of life.”
She spoke further, “we invite everyone to participate in this noble initiative. Come and take advantage of these free medical services. Spread the word and share with your family, friends, and neighbours.”
In a Facebook post, Mr. Collins Ogbe has this to say, “kudos to Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu and the NMA Delta State Chapter for the successful medical outreach in Eku and Abraka. Constituents received free surgeries, consultations, and drugs, showcasing the power of community-focused leadership and healthcare. Do well to join the Team at Isiokolo on Thursday, October 23, 2025 to benefit.”
