A political pressure group in Ndokwa land, NdokwaForward, has commended the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, for what it described as the peaceful and successful conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) state congress in Delta State.
In a statement jointly signed by Rt. Hon. Samuel Osasa Esq., Omordi George Ugbomah PhD, and Chief Isaac Onyesom, the group praised the governor for providing the leadership that ensured the smooth organization of the congress, which culminated in the emergence of a new State Working Committee for the party.
The group noted that the congress was marked by maturity, orderliness and unity among party members, adding that the calm atmosphere surrounding the exercise demonstrated Oborevwori’s capacity as a leader capable of managing diverse political interests through consultation and consensus-building.
According to the statement, the seamless conduct of the congress reflected the governor’s strategic leadership style and his understanding of the delicate dynamics of party politics in a plural society.
NdokwaForward also acknowledged the supportive role played by the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Monday Onyeme, whose cooperation and commitment, the group said, helped reinforce the spirit of unity that characterized the entire process.
The group further congratulated the newly inaugurated State Working Committee led by Solomon Aranyinka, describing their emergence as both an honour and a call to greater responsibility in strengthening the party.
It urged the new leadership to deepen internal democracy within the party, strengthen its structures across the state, and promote inclusiveness in the administration of party affairs.
NdokwaForward expressed confidence that the peaceful outcome of the congress signals continued political stability in Delta State and provides a strong foundation for sustained progress.
The statement also reiterated the group’s commitment to promoting good governance, political stability, and inclusive leadership across Ndokwa land and the wider Delta State.
