The two suspects, Ofemu Obus ‘m’ age 23yrs and Henry Ekpu ‘m’ age 28yrs were arrested on Thursday, by operatives attached to the Command’s Raiders squad.
The suspects are said to be specialized in defrauding unsuspecting POS operators by generating fake alerts which they use to deceive their victims and defraud them of their money.
The two are said to be in police custody and investigation is ongoing.

Speaking to them motivationally before the commencement of the programme, the State Chairperson of SWS and Functioning Permanent Secretary in the State Orientation Bureau, Mrs. Stella Macaulay told the women not to be depressed about their present circumstance orchestrated by the flood disaster that ravaged their homes and farmlands, asking them to instead, look up to God for help and direction.

“In 2023, we propose to spend N111.4 billion on Works, N5.9 billion for Urban Renewal – Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, N8.3 billion and Warri-Uvwie and Environs Development Agency, N8 billion.
“Others include N12.4 billion for Health; Education, N42.6 billion; Trade and Investment, N8.6 billion; Sports N8.4 billion; Culture and Tourism, N2.7 billion and Housing, N10 billion.

Hon. Oyabebefa who was reacting over a flood relief funds giving to Ogbolubiri ward in Burutu Constituency by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa last year, but was unduly appropriated by the lawmaker representing their constituency his cronies, further warned those using monies met to develop and empower the people to enrich themselves to desist from it or further be exposed.

And now he wants to handover to his stooge, Speaker Sheriff Francis Oborevwori whose House which he heads, approved every kobo that was wasted and stolen to protect himself from accountability. For the years of Sheriff’s speakership, the Delta State House of Assembly has been a rubber stamp, giving everything Okowa asks for without effective oversight, thereby undermining the entire idea of the Separation of Powers enshrined in our Constitution as well as weakening our democracy.
