The Acting Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Ughelli North chapter, Mr Samuel Evwioghono has revealed that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has quashed the stronghold of opposition with his massive imfrstractual development in Ughelli North.
Mr. Evwighono also disclosed that the Oborevwori led Delta APC is strongly prepared to reconcile all aggrieved members of the party in the local government.
Evwioghono further maintained that his executive and leaders of APC in Ughelli North Local Government will put in place whatever it takes to reconcile and woo back all aggrieved members to support the administration of Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori.
According to him, “When I assumed office as the acting chairman, the first I did was go on a familiarization tour to leaders and Stakeholders of the party to acquaint myself with them.
“As someone who has been swimming in the opposition in Delta politics, we I visited all the leaders in the local government and their response towards my emergence as the acting chairman of the party was very superb.
“And in few time, we have recorded a massive defection of people from the PDP and all other political parties while we are in discussions with some top ranking leaders of other parties to see reasons and join their tent with All Progressives Congress, APC in Ughelli North.
“In the history politics in Delta Central, Ughelli North has been a stronghold of big politicians from the PDP and APC but today the narratives has changed because all of them have come together.
“With what Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is doing in Delta State and in Ughelli north in particular, there is never a need for anybody to be in the opposition because the governor has quashed it with roads construction
“After the approval and construction of the Ughelli ring road, Gov Oborevwori approved other internal roads and the flyover at Otovwodo that worth over N39 Billion and with that, there will be no opposition in Ughelli come 2027.
As we speak, the Ughelli North Local Government Council Chairman,and other leaders of the party are in consultation for us to embark on ward round visitation.
“I am appealing to all join hands and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to succeed in other to give more dividend of democracy.”
