Delta State Commissioner of Police Aina Adesola, leading the Delta State Police Command’s Management Team, om Tuesday, January 27, 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the State Governor Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, at the Government House in Asaba.
The visit served as a formal introduction of the new CP to the governor and a pledge to deepen collaboration between the police and state government.

CP Adesola, thanked the governor for his warm welcome and ongoing support for the Nigeria Police Force, and promised a proactive, intelligence-driven, and community-focused policing, with enhanced partnerships among security agencies and stakeholders to promote peace, safety, and development.
Governor Oborevwori welcomed the posting, calling it a “blessing” for the state. He highlighted Adesola’s prior experience as Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) in Delta, which gives him deep insight into local security challenges. The governor praised the command’s professionalism in maintaining stability and issued a firm directive on anyone possessing firearms or disrupting public order to face immediate arrest and prosecution.
