Delta State Police Command struck a decisive blow against violent crime, crumbling an armed robbery syndicate in Ughelli North with a lightning-fast intelligence-led raid that netted deadly weapons and a confessing suspect.

On December 28, operatives from the CP Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT), under ASP Julius Robinson, stormed a criminal hideout in Otovwodo, Ughelli North LGA. Acting on solid tips, the team arrested Moses Tejiri, (24) as his accomplices scaled the fence and vanished into the night. Upon search, one long Dane gun, 10 live cartridges, two locally fabricated Beretta pistols, and 11 rounds of ammunition—for a total of 21 rounds.
Under interrogation, Tejiri cracked, confessing to a string of heists terrorizing Ekredjebor, Uloho Avenue, Winners Road, and other parts of Ughelli toen.
On December 29, State Intelligence Department (SID) surveillance busted Isu Emmanuel, a self-proclaimed nurse at Guard Health Pharmacy in Okpanam, for peddling banned drugs from a Victoria Junction hotel. Raids yielded 28 sachets of tramadol, 16 sachets of Swindol (100mg), three bottles of codeine-laced Barcadine, and more illicit substances.
