Delta State Police Command has arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered illegal weapons in a separate operations aimed at curbing violent crime across the state.
On March 9, 2026, around 5:00 a.m., a patrol team from ‘A’ Division Warri responded to a distress call about an attempted armed robbery at a private residence in Egbokodo Itsekiri Community.

Operatives, with community help, cordoned off the area and arrested Emmanuel Solomon, a 38-year-old man, in the premises. A search uncovered a bag with two double-barreled cut-to-size guns and five live cartridges; investigation continues.
In another incident on March 25, 2026, at about 1:00 p.m., the Command’s Raiders Squad conducted a stop-and-search on the Benin-Asaba Expressway near Custom Market in Oshimili North LGA, acting on intelligence. They intercepted 23-year-old Aminu Inusa and recovered a locally fabricated Beretta pistol from him. The suspect remains in custody as probes proceed.
Police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe, commended the officers’ professionalism and urged residents to provide timely tips, as the Command reaffirmed its commitment to eliminating criminal elements in Delta State.
