Popular News Central Television Delta State Correspondent, Comrade Austin Azu, has announced the passing of his mother, Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile, of the Azu family of Elume Main Town, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
Until her demise, Evangelist Mrs. Elizabeth Azu Ovwile, was a respected Christian leader, devoted mother, and community pillar. She was an active and dedicated member of God’s Grace Ministry, where she served faithfully for many years. She died at the age of 71.
In a statement signed by Austin Azu on behalf of the family, Evangelist Mrs. Ovwile was described as a woman of deep faith, unwavering devotion to God, and exceptional commitment to family and service.
She hailed from Elume Main Town and lived a life marked by humility, compassion, and spiritual dedication.
Through prayer, counsel, and personal example, she touched the lives of many within and beyond her community, earning admiration as a spiritual mother and source of strength to many.
She is survived by her children, including Mr. Austin Azu, Correspondent of News Central TV, Government House, Asaba, and a member of the Delta Online Publishers Forum and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Delta State Chapter; Honourable Samuel Azu, Leader of the Sapele Legislative Arm; Rev. God’s Time Azu of God’s Grace Ministry; Akpuvie Azu; Happy Azu Omofuju; Victor Azu; Vera Aghogi; and Justice Azu.
She was also a loving grandmother whose legacy of faith and values lives on through her children and grandchildren.
The family noted that Evangelist Elizabeth Azu Ovwile will be remembered for her unwavering faith in God, love for humanity, and lifelong commitment to Christian service, describing her life as a testament to grace and godliness.
