Delta State Attorney-General Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, SAN, led a delegation to the State Police Command headquarters in Asaba on Monday, assuring full government backing for a thorough investigation and prosecution of suspects in the Ozoro incident that recently ignited public outrage.
Commissioner of Police CP Aina Adesola, psc, hosted the team alongside senior command officers. Ohwovoriole commended the police for quickly restoring order in Ozoro and vowed state support to ensure “diligent prosecution of those found culpable, serving as a deterrent and delivering justice.”
In response, CP Adesola thanked the AG and state government for their collaboration in pacifying the area. He revealed personally visiting Ozoro to consult stakeholders and directing investigators to expedite charges against direct perpetrators.
“This won’t happen again,” the CP affirmed, reiterating the command’s commitment to lawful prosecution of all identified culprits.
The meeting underscores ongoing efforts to address the unrest in Ozoro, with police promising sustained vigilance.
