…Commiserate With The Yilwatda Family
Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has sent his condolences to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on the demise of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
In a message issued on Tuesday, Dafinone described the loss as one that goes beyond the Yilwatda family, noting that Mama Lydia’s life of service, kindness, and devotion touched many within her community and the church.
He recalled Mama Lydia’s lifelong dedication alongside her late husband, Reverend Toma Goshewe Yilwatda, to the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), where they both worked tirelessly in the propagation of the gospel. According to him, her unwavering faith and commitment to Christian values remain an inspiring legacy that will be cherished for By.
“At a time like this, I encourage Professor Yilwatda and his family to find comfort in the enduring legacy Mama Lydia leaves behind,” Dafinone stated. “Her life was one of faith, humility, and service to the Lord, and her impact will continue to be felt through the lives she touched within the church and the community.”
The Delta Central lawmaker, speaking on behalf of his family and constituents, prayed for God’s strength and comfort for the Yilwatda family, adding that Mama Lydia’s soul finds peaceful rest in the bosom of the Lord.
