Tragedy yesterday, September 8, 2023, hits the Ahoada Police Division in  Ahoada Local Government Area, River State, when the Divisional Police Officer DPO , Superintendent Bako Amgbashin was murdered by a suspected cult group that called itself the Iceland cult group.  In a video circulating around, the DPO’s body was seen dismembered after killing him and voices of the cult group heard saying in pidgin English; ‘This na DPO of Ahoada, you wan challenge Iceland, shebi you don die na’.  The River State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, could not be reached for confirmation before filling this report. …

By Godwin-Maria Utuedoye Terrorists operating in Kaduna has again murdered a Catholic Seminarian when they burnt down the parish rectory of Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church under Kafanchan Diocese in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, suffocating a seminarian, Stephen Danlami to death. The marauders said to be in their large numbers stormed the Saint Raphael Parish at Fadan Kamantan, on Thursday night, setting the building ablaze alongside a vehicle parked in the premises. The Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has returned to Nigeria following his medical leave in Germany. The governor embarked on a 21-day leave on June 7 and was expected to return on July 6.
